  2. Accomplishments from 2009-2011 • Wrote by-laws and elected members • Compiled list of health related activities in district • Compiled curriculum for health and physical • education classes • Created website for SHAC information

ACCOMPLISHMENTS for 2010-11 school year • 2010-2011 Completed and Compiled survey of ROHS students on perceived needs concerning health issues • Updated the SHAC website and added link to main page of the district web page. • Recruited parent and community members successfully • School Board Acceptance and district implementation of Bienestar School Coordinated Health Program

  4. Current Actions in Progress for SHAC • Continue to improve parent communication through website and twice yearly news letter. • Research and endorse curriculum choice for a sex education program • Make time-line and research future actions • Continue to recruit parent and community members for council.

  5. SHAC Recommendation to School Board On May 19, 2011, the SHAC council presented to the Red Oak ISD School Board the recommendation that the board purchase the Bienestar Health Program for our coordinated school health curriculum.
