Chapter Updates • Workshop Pre-registration Profile • Comments from one of the speakers during dinner: • Well, that’s how it is in Austin • Combat with substantial price escalation after early-bird deadline (?) (We had 7 paying walk-ins) • Decide cancellation criteria early in the planning process • Consider nominal, or free, registration for the unemployed – use honor system • Work with Joe and John to ensure visibility in CTS broadcasts

SWOT Analysis • Strength – Good team work & network to recruit speakers. • Weakness – Identifying new officers • (Improving) – Staying relevant via interesting topics and broad appeal workshops • Opportunity – Host joint events with other groups. • Threat – Other networking and professional groups in the area.
Chapter Plans / Issues • Mix topics at monthly meetings to cover professional development, training, and technical topics. • Recruit younger members via workshop focus and speaker topic choices. • Improve return rate for first time attendees.
