Handling Units Management Transactions • Create HU • “Packs” inventory at a selected stock point • Close HU • “Unpacks” inventory at a selected stock point • Link HU • Attaches a selected Handling Unit to an existing/new Parent Handling Unit • Unlink HU • Detaches a selected Handling Unit to an existing/new Parent Handling Unit • HU Inquiry • Displays the contents of a selected Handling Unit • Split HU • Splits the contents of a selected Handling Unit • The split quantity can be put into a new/existing (empty) Handling Unit or left as anonymous stock.

Allocate Release - Snapshot • Any outbound Order Line with an active “Generate Outbound Step” step can be processed • Outbound Advice Lines will be created • All outbound Order Origins are supported • Transaction can be configured by Order Origin • Release Outbound Advice step can also be executed within the transaction scope • Serialization (4.xx Versions only) • Serials: Multiple serials can be linked to an outbound advice line in the same transaction instance • Lots – not in inventory: Multiple lot quantities can be linked to an outbound advice line in the same transaction instance • Handling Units (4.xx Versions only) • A user can now allocate • an entire Handling Unit Structure (single item); • a sub-structure; or • an individual Handling Unit at bottom level • Splitting is allowed while allocating a bottom level Handling Unit

Picking – Special Scenarios • Partial Pick • A selected line can be picked “partially” • The current line will be split and the quantity on the original line will be changed to the picked quantity • The remaining quantity will be moved to a new line on the same run and mission (if applicable) • The original line will be marked as “Picked” • Lost Material • User is forced to pick a selected line “partially” due to missing stock at the source stock point • The current line will be split and the quantity on the original line will be changed to the picked quantity • The remaining (missing) quantity will be transferred to a hold location • The original line will be marked as “Picked” • A new advice/pick list line will be generated from another available stock point • “Cart” Location Usage • Each cart used for picking will be designated as a location in the warehouse • The picked quantity will be moved to the cart location while still retaining the current allocation • The selected advice/pick list line will show the cart location as the source stock point.

Crossdocking • Crossdocking can be invoked from : • Receipts; • Approvals; or • Report Production. • Serialization (4.xx only) • Serials: Multiple serials can be cross-docked in the same transaction instance • Lots – not in inventory: Multiple lot quantities can be cross-docked • Handling Units (4.xx only) • The availability of this feature is dependent on the context of the inbound (receipt/approval) line and also the outbound line. • A user can now crossdock • an entire Handling Unit Structure (single item); • a sub-structure; or • an individual Handling Unit at bottom level • Splitting is allowed while crossdocking from a bottom level Handling Unit

Packing - Snapshot • Any active “Picked” line can be processed • The “Picked” line will be packed in a Box/Pallet” • All outbound Order Origins with Shipment steps are supported • Transaction can be configured by Order Origin • Valid Lines can be selected by Order Number, Outbound Run Number or Pick Mission • The subsequent step (Release Outbound Advice or Confirm Pick list) is executed only at the end of the packing process • Currently Serialization is not supported • Currently the module is not integrated with Handling Units function
Additional Outbound Transactions • Release Outbound by Order • Executes a single step – Release Outbound Advice • Can be used as a follow up transaction to Allocate Release or Picking (advice only) • Super Shipping • The “Picked” lines can be shipped with this transaction • Executes multiple steps – Release Outbound Advice/Confirm Pick List, Confirm Shipment, Print Shipping document(s) • Transaction can be configured by Order Origin • Valid Lines can be selected by Order Number, Outbound Run Number or Pick Mission • Ship Confirm By Order • The staged lines can be shipped with this transaction • Executes multiple steps – Confirm Shipment, Print Shipping document(s) • Transaction can be configured by Order Origin
Inventory Transfer • Transfer Inventory within same warehouse • Option 1: Move Inventory without generating a Transfer Order • Option 2: Generate a Transfer order and execute Outbound steps • Transfer Inventory between warehouses • Generate a transfer order using the predefined transfer order type in “WM - General parameters” • Execute the order steps in sequence • Serialization (4.xx only) • Serials: Multiple serials can be transferred in the same transaction instance • Lots – not in inventory: Multiple lot quantities can be transferred in the same transaction instance • Handling Units (4.xx only) • A user can now transfer • an entire Handling Unit Structure; • a sub-structure; or • an individual Handling Unit at bottom level • Splitting is allowed while transferring a bottom level Handling Unit • Reference ID • Transferring by Handling Unit (as mentioned above) • Transferring an individual Serial (Serial-in inventory only)
