Allow more effective academic mentoring meeting individuals differing needs. Develop leadership roles for older students to: Increase responsibility. Enhance the community ethos. Develop maturity.

  3. Reduce the size of the tutor group. Give more opportunities for Peer mentoring and support especially at report times. Enhance Year 7 induction & support Enhance the guidance and support for Year 9 options. Enhance the support and advice at exam times. Support with sixth form choices. Enhance University applications Better focus on learning culture

  11. Increase tutor groups to 65 Tutor groups to average only 22 students. Students have a complete view of school life and the learning journey Generates a sense of community/family Academic reviews take place in every year group not just key stage 4 Academic mentoring is more effective for all as little and often rather than large blocks of time for current academic reviews.   12. Creates a shared learning ethos. Use made of older students to academically mentor younger ones in the tutor group. Responsibility for older students in support and guidance given eg. reading, maths, careers advice, options advice etc. Sixth formers become Asst. Tutors. House would have a Head of House, Asst Head of House and SSM.

  16. What will happen with assemblies? Will it help reduce bullying? What happens to 6th form? How will reports and parents evening work? Where’s the pastoral/academic chain of command? How will houses be named? Who decides who goes in which form group? FAQ’s
