  1. Jesus, The Master Teacher This man came to Jesus by night and said to him, "Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that you do, unless God is with him." (John 3:2 RSV)

Why Was Jesus The Master Teacher? • Because of the kind of person He was. • He took every opportunity to teach. • He taught only what the Father wanted. • He lived what He taught. • He gave time to preparation. • His message had a greater end. • He loved those He taught. • He spent much time in prayer.

  3. Christianity Is A Taught Religion • No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day. It is written in the prophets, 'And they shall all be taught by God.' Every one who has heard and learned from the Father comes to me. (John 6:44-45 RSV) • See Matthew 28:18-20; 2 Timothy 2:2

  4. Conclusion • For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the first-born among many brethren. (Romans 8:29 RSV) • For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need some one to teach you again the first principles of God's word. You need milk, not solid food; (Hebrews 5:12 RSV)
