  9. Jesus went to Nazareth, where he had been raised. On the Sabbath he went to the synagogue as he normally did and stood up to read. The synagogue assistant gave him the scroll from the prophet Isaiah. He unrolled the scroll and found the place where it was written: The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me . He has sent me to preach good news to the poor, to proclaim release to the prisoners and recovery of sight to the blind, to liberate the oppressed, and to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour. He rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the synagogue assistant, and sat down. Every eye in the synagogue was fixed on him. He began to explain to them, “ Today, this scripture has been fulfilled just as you heard it.” 

  10. Kingdom of God Teaching Everyone who exalts himself will be........ Whoever wishes to be great among you must be............ Whatever you did for the least of these my brothers......... Many who are first will be ........................ Whoever wants to save his own life will ............... Unless you become like .................................... Let the children come to me, do not try to stop them, for .................... It’s easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle................ Where your treasure is, there will............................

  11. Kingdom of God Teaching Everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted. Whoever wishes to be great among you must be your servant Whatever you did for the least of these my brothers you did also for me Many who are first will be last, and the last will be first Whoever wants to save his own life will lose it, and he who loses his life for my sake will find it. Unless you become like a child you cannot enter the Kingdom of God. Let the children come to me, do not try to stop them, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these. It’s easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle then for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

I have a dream that one day God’s people will have the courage to challenge the superficial, narrow and dehumanising practices of church and society, and restore the richness of God’s plan and purpose. I have a dream that one day God’s people will stand up for the rights of persecuted, powerless and marginalized people. I have a dream that one day God’s people will live in peace with each other, and encourage all people, whatever their colour or creed, to find their full place and potential. I have a dream that one day God’s people will live in simplicity, and care responsibly for the natural world around them with wonder and gratitude. I have a dream that one day Jesus will be able to fully live again through his people on earth. I have a dream.
