Language Arts Home School Connection Increased understanding of curriculum, assessments, and knowledge of strategies provides parents with skills that can be used at home to help with the child’s learning.

Biliteracy Includes: • Materials in both languages. • Capitalizing on cognates • Integrating all learning styles (e.g. kinesthetic, visual, auditory, etc.) • Developing scaffolded lessons to meet needs of all students. • Referring to prior knowledge learned in their native language as a springboard for new learning.
