General Information aboutthe AGS degree: • 60 hour program • 25% of your courses must be from NSU • Must have a 2.0 average in all courses to satisfy degree requirements • Must have a 2.0 average in all courses taken at NSU which are used to satisfy degree requirements

Filling in the Curriculum Worksheet – Step 1 • First, we will fill in the general education courses that have been completed. • These courses are also referred to as the “University Core Requirements”

Filling in the Curriculum Worksheet – Step 2 • Next, we’ll translate the general education courses into the Academic Enrichment Groups and the concentration group. • Two groups in the Academic Enrichment area must be completed as well as one group in the concentration. • These groups CANNOT be the same! • To begin this exercise, we will fill in all of the enrichment groups first.

Filling in the Curriculum Worksheet – Step 3 • Now, we refer back to the transcript to see what classes were not used as part of the general education courses. • We cannotuse courses that start with a “0” as these are developmental courses. Only those with starting 1 through 4 can be used.

Filling in the Curriculum Worksheet – Step 4 • We know that Billy needs to complete 6 more hours of General Education Requirements. • FA 1040 • Math 1020 • These two courses change the curriculum worksheet and give us 12 total hours in both ART and COMPUTER & NATURAL SCIENCES.
Filling in the Curriculum Worksheet – Step 4 • In addition to choosing his concentration, Billy will need to reach a total of 60 hours (2012 catalog) to complete the Associate of General Studies. • Currently, Billy has completed 30 hours. • After completing his remaining required courses, he will have 24 hours left to complete.
