Risk? • Falling/tripping • Large crowds • Equipment malfunction • Animals • Getting lost • Traffic/vehicles • Depending how you conduct yourself around the people around you, a trip to the Stampede can range for low to high risks.
Risk? (continued) • Anybody can go to the stampede even if they have a fear of animals and such. The animals can easily be avoided by not going to the animal centered events like bull riding and the dog show. People who can’t handle large crowds can also participate in the Stampede by going to less populated areas, and going back when there’s not as many people.
Availability • The Calgary Stampede is only available for 10 days and only happens during the summer.
Why should people go? • The Calgary Stampede started in 1912, and now is celebrating it’s 100th year in 2012. The Stampede is an event centered around the wild west culture with rodeos, cowboys and cowgirls, wagon races, performances and rides and attractions. The Stampede is suitable for people young and old, people who enjoy the western culture, people who want thrills like watching the bull rides and such. The Stampede is also a great event for families to get together and have fun.
Other information • Cost: ranges from free-$15 • Hours: 11 AM-midnight • Has services for: disabled, small children, lost children, medical services,lostand found and police offices • Happens during the month of July
