  4. High School Program • One year, juniors or seniors • 16 high schools • > 700 high school students • Emphasis on hands on, problem-solving • Concurrent enrollment credit • Site of early college high school, Itineris

  5. SLCC 2-Year A.A.S. • Five wet labs, computer lab, cell culture facility • 1 FT faculty; 1 FT staff; adjunct • 83 college students; 76 graduates • Foreign exchange programs • New track in Biomanufacturing training • New 4-year baccalaureate with UVU • Site of InnovaBio

  6. Challenges • Required college internship • Approx 65% high school students juniors • Maintain momentum • Challenging research opportunities • Entrepreneurial environment • Multi-disciplinary training • Add greater value to industry/state

  8. Student Commitment • One half to one year • 5-7 hr per week • Attendance at lab meetings • Professionalism • Enthusiasm!
