  1. Reference QSC VoIP Trunking for Business Customers TELES Provides Out-of-the-box Solution for Enterprise VoIP Trunking The Client QSC (“Quality Service Communications”) is a German DSL network operator which provides enterprises and private customers with a comprehensive portfolio of broadband communication solutions ranging from voice and data services to custom enterprise networks (virtual private networks). A member of the TecDAX 30, Germany’s 30 leading public technology companies, QSC also provides its private customers with a range of DSL-based VoIP applications. The Request QSC required a complete enterprise VoIP trunking solution for cross-enterprise traffic over ADSL with SIP connection termination and integrated iPBX capabilities. Above and beyond this, the appropriate solution should also be very easy-to-use with a highly-automated configuration. The Solution TELES provided QSC with a VoIP trunking enterprise solution consisting of its TELES.iSWITCH VoIP LEX Class 5 solution (which directly terminates SIP connections) and the TELES.NMS solution for comprehensive FCAPS (fault, configuration, accounting, performance, and security) network management. TELES.VoIPBOX was selected for seamless, superior quality integration into the existing infrastructure footprint for superior VoIP gateway performance quality, enhanced mass deployment capabilities and the integrated PBX which even allows throwing away the existing old PBXes. The Result Both QSC and its customers were able to benefit from a VoIP trunking solution with a PSTN equivalent feature set supporting features like Advice of Charge and overlap dialing capabilities. Thanks to VoIPBOX zero-touch configuration and full order management system integration, QSC has the most enhanced business trunking solution available on the market today.

  3. Reference Telecom Italia Telecom Italia Prepaid Time Zone Solution TELES Provides Telecom Italia Division with CAS Protocol ConverterPrePaid Solution The Client Telecom Italia Radiomarittimo (TIR) is the maritime division of Telecom Italia Group. Formerly part of the partially state-owned national telco, the group can boast 60% of all traffic between major Mediterranean basin countries. High profile brands like Alice, TIM, Olivetti and APCom all have a part to play in the Telecom Italia Group’s complete communications chain offering: from fixed-line and mobile telephony through to online and office and systems solutions. The Request TIR required a sophisticated prepaid solution capable of handling calls originating and terminating in different time zones over satellite. Because channel associated signaling (CAS) over Inmarsat was being used, TIR needed a CAS protocol converter solution which was also national SS7 variant compliant. The suitable solution should also support standard prepaid and residential prepaid options and support a raft of flexible charging options. The Solution TELES.iSWITCH is a high performance scalable class 4 and 5 public switching solution which enables providers to tap into lucrative new markets in diverse telecom segments. Modular hardware and software architecture allows for a real “pay-as-you-grow” scenario with multiple upgrade paths to add new functionality and increase system capacity. TELES.iSWITCH is a multiple protocol integrated-support-ready solution which covers legacy migration needs as well as providing a way forward to Next Generation Networks (NGN). TELES.iPPCC is a scalable, carrier-grade application which facilitates swift entry into the expanding prepaid market (standard and residential). It also puts in place a range of intelligent, value-adding prepaid features. The Result TIR was able to provide a complete satellite-based prepaid solution operable in different time zones. As well as this, TIR benefited from CAS to SS7 protocol conversion. The TELES provided solution also uses one of 30 available TELES SS7 national variants. TIR prepaid users were able to take advantage of the array of prepaid scenarios including standard and residential prepaid available on the TELES.iPPCC application. TELES.iPPCC comes complete with flexible tariff plan management which supports charging according to different time zones.

  5. Reference Batelco Jordan TELES RTP Multiplexing IP Bandwidth Reduction Solution TELES Implements Advanced RTP Multiplexing Turnkey Solutionbetween Bahrain and JordanTELES completes VoIP Platform project in record time The Client Batelco Jordan is Jordan’s leading fixed line and broadband services provider, providing a range of services which integrate voice, data and multimedia in order to meet their mission to be the kingdom’s 21st century cutting edge communications provider. The Request Batelco Jordan required a solution which would dramatically slash IP bandwidth to ensure fast, reliable IP connectivity at all times. The suitable solution had to support IP and TDM interworking through SS7 connectivity and provide H.323 backup. The Solution In March 2006, TELES successfully completed a class four NGN-based turnkey project (including installation, project management and training) for traffic between Bahrain and Jordan – all in a period of just one month. IP bandwidth was dramatically reduced using TELES advanced RTP multiplexing and the low bandwidth G.723 codec. The IP backbone came with H.323 protocol support for leased lines and H.323 backup over the public internet. VoIP (H.323) peering and SS7 connectivity allowed seamless IP and TDM interworking. The Result TELES advanced RTP multiplexing allowed Batelco Jordan to reduce IP bandwidth by 50% between Amman in Jordan to Manama, the capital city of Bahrain. Batelco Jordan is now able to optimize the use of IP bandwidth between Bahrain and Jordan thanks to TELES’ VoIP compression and protocol converter solution for smooth network interworking.

  7. Reference freenet Migration from TDM to NGN TELES CLASS 4 NGN Migration Solution The Client freenet is one of Germany’s fastest growing technology companies. A publicly listed internet and telecommunications provider, freenet had almost 10 million customers using its range of services at the end of 2005. Products and services provided by freenet include pure-play internet access and digital services through to inexpensive pre-selection and call-by-call ates. In recent years the company has moved into DSL and VoIP markets. The Request freenet required an effective TDM legacy to NGN evolution solution supporting class 4 “call-by-call” and “pre-selection” scenarios over national and international SS7 variants with proven multi-vendor media gateway support. The Solution TELES carried out an implementation of its NGN migration solution (which allow egacy networks to be seamlessly migrated over to VoIP-based NGNs). The TELES-implemented solution provided full international SS7 variant support and interoperability with other major vendor media gateways. The Result freenet was able to successfully migrate to VoIP from TDM, allowing conventional TDM fixed-line telephone users to take advantage of class 4 NGN “call-by-call” and “pre-selection” applications with a scalable integrated RTP announcement server for pre-, mid- and post-call announcements.
