Rocking Zebra Crossing • Simon Lane’s dream! • A “one-off” charitable project to make a Rocking Zebra and then deliver it to a worthy location with the sole aim to give enjoyment to as many children as possible for as long a time as possible • The Rotary Dolls Museum chosen to be the recipient and long term keeper
Rocking Zebra “Raj” • Made by Simon Lane and delivered with the help of Somerset Levels and two local companies to the Rotary Dolls Museum • “Raj” arrived at 01:30am in the city of Rajkot on 8th Nov 2003 • Delivered together with numerous soft toys for the poor children of Rajkot
Children’s Creativity Centre • 2004/5 Centenary Year • Children’s Creativity Centre (CCC) to be installed in the Dolls Museum • Our project is being submitted for consideration as a RF Centenary Year’s Best
CCC - Planned Facilities • Education for poor children • Learning foreign languages, customs, manners • Dramatics, Arts and Music • Sculpture and toy making • Technology Workshops/Computer Education • Employment opportunities for the poor • Awareness for youth and drug related problems • Cyber café mainly for the poor children • Unique training to build future Rotarians
