Adobe Acrobat Functionality, Part I Hierarchy of Tasks Always follow the hierarchy of tasks when working with PDF documents to optimize accessibility: • Is the PDF document a scanned image? • If yes, then perform text recognition • Does the PDF document have fillable forms? • If yes, then add form fields • Does the PDF document have links? • If yes, add the links using the Create Links from URL’s and/or the Link tool • Does the PDF have multimedia? • If yes, then add multimedia making sure that the multimedia is accessible multimedia standards or guidelines for captioning and audio description THEN tag the document and make any necessary repairs levelaccess.com | (800) 899-9659 | info@levelaccess.com
