Workshop Overall Objective: To find advocacy entry points and explore strategies targeting European donors at the decentralized level
The specific objectives of this workshop are: • Participants’ knowledge on how to conduct advocacy at decentralized level is strengthened. • Participants’ capacity on how to link the capitol and decentralized levels is reinforced. • Participants’ understanding on how advocacy activities among a) European CSOs and b) among European and Southern CSOs can be mutually reinforcing and complementary is strengthened.
Workshop Main Output: A list of practical recommendations on innovative SRHR advocacy strategies targeting European donors at the decentralized level is compiled and shared.
Paris agenda • Ownership: Partner countries exercise effective leadership over their development policies and strategies and coordinate development actions. • Alignment: Donors base their overall support on partner countries’ national development strategies, institutions and procedures. • Harmonisation: Donor actions are more harmonised, transparent and collectively effective.
