MRTs: A leading healthcare profession • CAMRT was very proud to partner with Choosing Wisely Canada as one of the first non-physician groups. • In all, 5 new recommendations were issued for the MRT profession • The recommendations address: imaging without a patient history, patient preparedness and tolerance for the procedure, as well as dose reduction strategies for medical radiation, and peripheral venous lines in instances where central venous access is available. https://choosingwiselycanada.org/medical-radiation-technology/
Promoting evidence-based practice As part of its support for MRT research, as well as the use of research findings in the clinical practice of practicing MRTs, CAMRT produced an extensive Research Toolkit, replete with links and tools that cover every aspect of evidence retrieval, translation and generation. https://members.camrt.ca/my-publications/my-research-toolkit/
