Control Sample Definitions • Remember: Using MetRefFinal, and • QCDtg: One tight, one control • QCDg: No tight, once control • Also can have • 50 or 75 GeV ET cut on all (pseudo) photons • Isolation cut or not on pseudo photon (“t” photon is isolated) • Nominal control sample is QCDtg50NoIso • MC studies indicate good reproduction of tight-tight MET distribution • MC studies also suggest QCDg is OK for LocHadTopo
SP1 Extrapolations PARABOLIC LINEAR EXPONENTIAL
SP2 Extrapolations PARABOLIC LINEAR EXPONENTIAL
Also… LocHadTopo Put it all together: SP1: 0.10 +- 0.10 events SP2: 0.15 +- 0.15 events See Note for incontrovertible reasoning.
WP1 QCD Background All alternative estimates high; inflate error WP1 background of 0.40 +- 0.40 events
WP2 QCD Background All consistent with nominal (green) WP2 background of 0.90 +- 0.35 events
MIS QCD Background All consistent with nominal (green) WP2 background of 0.70 +- 0.30 events
