NUMBER OF STUDENTS IN THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2008/2009 Nearly 4,000 (10 %) foreign students (including Slovaks) study at MU Masarykova univerzita - univerzita s budoucností
DEGREE STUDENTS FROM ABROAD • The Faculty offers two Master’s degree programmes in English language designed as a four-semester course of study (120 ECTS credits). They are open to students holding a BA or equivalent degree in the social science or the humanities. Doctoral programmes are in Czech or English, as a standard • Erasmus Mundus External Cooperation Windows (Lot 4 – Syria, Jordan, Lebanon) • Students of degree programmes taught in Czech language (mainly from Slovakia, Ukraine, Russian Federation • At present: 52 students in Eng. programmes, 450 in Cze. programmes Masarykova univerzita - univerzita s budoucností

COMPARISON OF INCOMING STUDENTS- SERVICES DEGREE • Provided by international relations office (faculty level) or by respective departments • They can also take part in events organized by OIS and ISC NON DEGREE • Provided by Office for International Studies (OIS) (university level) • Free time activities coorganized by an ISC – member of ESN SERVICES PROVIDED • Before arrival: organization of admission procedure, issuing letters of acceptance for visa, help with prior degree recognition (degree students), providing necessary information before arrival, arrangement of accommodation (all) • After arrival: Orientation week (Welcome parties, „survival“ Czech language courses, trips and excursions) • During semester: serving as study department for English taught programmes Masarykova univerzita - univerzita s budoucností
RECRUITMENT OF STUDENTS/MARKETING • Advertising (incl.
