  3. Productivity • There is firm with a labour costs of 1000, machine costs of 2000 and overhead costs of 1500 per day. Its output rate is 100 pieces per day. The market price is 20 per piece. • On a monthly basis what is the • Labour productivity • Machine productivity • Multifactor productivity

  4. Solution • LP=(100*20)/1000=2 • MP=(100*20)/2000=1 • MFP= =(100*20)/3500=0,57

  5. Calculating capacity • 2 weeks, 5 day per week;  = 0,9; number of shifts = 3; hours per shift = 8; homogenousmachines = 2; maintenancetime = 2hours per week. • Questions: DesignedCapacity, EffectiveCapacity, Resources • Solution: DC = (2*5)*3*8*60*2 = 28,800 mins EC = DC – (2*2*60*2) = 28,320 mins Resource = EC*0,9 = 25,488 mins
