E – Earnestly believe that God exists, that I matter to Him, and that He has the power to help me recover. C – Consciously choose to commit all my life and will to Christ’s care and control. O – Openly examine and confess my faults to myself, to God, and to someone I trust.

  3. C.R. Principles V – Voluntarily submit to every change God wants to make in my life and humbly ask Him to remove my character defects.

  4. How can we accomplish this? By following the path to V.I.C.T.O.R.Y.! “Happy are those whose greatest desire is to do what God requires.” Matthew 5:6

  5. 7 Keys to V.I.C.T.O.R.Y. V – Voluntarily Submit Romans 12:1 1 Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God-- this is your spiritual act of worship.

  6. 7 Keys to V.I.C.T.O.R.Y. I – Identify Character Defects 1 John 1:9 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. James 5:16 16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.

  7. 7 Keys to V.I.C.T.O.R.Y. C – Change Your Mind Romans 12:2 2 Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is-- his good, pleasing and perfect will.

T – Turn Away From Sin, Turn to God (Repent) Acts 3:19 19 Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord … Galatians 6:2 2 Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.

And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.

Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8 Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. 9 Grieve, mourn and wail. Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom. 10 Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.
