15. The essential vice, the utmost evil, is pride. Unchastity, anger, greed, drunkenness, and all that, are mere fleabites in comparison. It was through pride that the devil became the devil. Pride leads to every other vice; it is the complete anti-God state of mind. C. S. Lewis (1898-1963) “Pride is the only disease known to man that makes everyone sick except the person who has it,” Buddy Robinson. This morning is pride in your life turning the stomach of God in heaven? The path to change begins by confession of your sins to God (1 John 1:9) and conformity of your perspective to God’s perspective.
