  3. igneous rock Igneous rock is formed through the cooling and solidification of magma or lava.

  4. sedimentary rock Sedimentary rocks are types of rock that are formed by the deposition of material at the Earth's surface and within bodies of water.

  5. Weathering The breaking down of rocks, soil and minerals as well as artificial materials through contact with the wind, biota (living things), and water.

  6. Erosion The process by which soil and rock are removed from the Earth's surface by wind or water flow and then transported and deposited in other locations.

  7. Deposition Deposition is the process by which sediments, soil, and rocks are added to a landform or land mass.
