  2. Chapter 18Summary Chapter 18 is the chapter where Fogg and Passepartout are mostly on The Rangoon trying to get to Hong Kong to drop Auoda of with her cousin. Fogg learns that her cousin went to Holland, so Aouda will go with them farther. They also went to Hong Kong to get on a steam boat called The Carnatic traveling to Yokohama, Japan.

  3. Chapter 19 summary When Passepartout gets on to the Carnatic he finds Fix walking up the stairs. They have a secret conversation about the fact that he is not a traveler, he’s actually a detective for the city of London, Who thinks that he stole the 55000 pounds. Later Fix tricks Passepartout into drinking and doing drugs, to incapacitate him.

  5. Travel methods These are both examples of steam boats that they might have used. This is the Carnatic, the steamboat that carried them to Yokahama

  6. What the characters remind me of Fogg reminds me of Mansion Man because He always gets told stuff behind his back.

  7. Passepartout Passepartout reminds me of flash because Verne says that he was rather fast from hongkong to the carnatic.

Unfamiliar words or quotes • Antipodes- those that live on direct oppisite sides of the globe • Palanquins- A covered conveyance, made of a box and large poles • Parterres- a level space in a garden • Accosted- a person who has paid for something • Detained- under restraint • Gracious- enjoying grace or favor • Obstinate-firmly agreeing with an opinion or argument
