Chapter 14 summary • Chapter 14 started when Passapartout and Fogg had saved Auoda, a cherished monarch of India, from her executioners. They are escaping from India while Auoda is in an extreme mental depression. • Their goal was to get Auoda to Hong Kong, so that she will be safe from the people who are trying to kill her. • Later, they arrive at a train station, to get to Calcutta, India. Chapter 15 summary • At the train station in Calcutta, a policeman stops them and asks them to come with him. He takes them to a jail and they are tried for trespassing on sacred ground when they rescued Auoda. They pay bail for ₤2,000 and get on with their journey.
