Classroom Expectations Mission Statement: We will be kind to each other by showing respect, being honest, and listening, so that we can work hard and learn each day! • Students are responsible for monitoring their own behavior throughout the day. • It will be communicated home in their planner using the calendar pages. • Positive choices are celebrated through praise, positive reinforcement, individual tickets, and class marbles. • Respect Contract
How Do We Use Fix It Tickets In Our Classroom? Everyone makes a mistake sometimes. We all deserve a moment to take a break and fix our mistake. If a break doesn’t help and the behavior continues, a fix it ticket will help students reflect on their behavior. When a “fix-it” ticket is filled out, depending on severity, additional strategies will be implemented, such as a phone call home to discuss behavior.
HOW TO FILL OUT A TICKET: Explain the mistake you made. List three things you will do to fix your mistake. Sign your name and bring the ticket to me.
Goal Setting/ Leadership Notebooks • Setting goals and tracking progress has been linked to greater student achievement. • Students are setting goals in subject areas, tracking their own progress and celebrating success.
