BANKSETA LETSEMA LEARNERSHIP PROJECT INVITATION TO PARTICIPATE IN A ONE YEAR LEARNERSHIP WITHIN THE BANKING AND MICRO FINANCE SECTOR Financial Services Advice Learnership WHO SHOULD APPLY? • Matriculated candidates who have English, Mathematics and/or Science and/or Accounting (HG or SG) • No candidates with a qualification higher than a 1 year post matric certificate will be considered • The BANKSETA welcomes applications by learners with disabilities A monthly allowance of R2 000 will be paid CLOSING DATE: 20 SEPTEMBER 2006 SELECTION CRITERIA • Currently unemployed, no current matriculants • Under the age of 30 • Can communicate effectively in English both in writing and verbally • Do not have a criminal record • Have a clear credit record • Are not involved in other studies from1 Jan 2007 to 31 Dec 2007 • Present a professional image • Can present a positive recommendation / official testimonial from eg. previous school, learning institution, church, etc. • Have the ability to deal / communicate with other people, i.e. clients • SA Citizen (Only full SA Citizenship will suffice) • PLEASE NOTE • Application forms will be available from 28 August 2006 as follows : • 1. ONLINE REGISTRATION : www.careerwise.co.za / select the BANKSETA link OR • 2. DOWNLOAD the form from www.careerwise.co.za / select application forms OR • 3. Dial 0860 1000 30 and use reference number 217002 # # for a form to be faxed to you OR • 4. E-mail tolearnerships@careerwise.co.zaand request a form OR • 5. Phone Career Wise on (011) 484-5355 to request an application form to be faxed to you • All application forms must be returned to Career Wise on or before 20 September 2006. • Interviews will be conducted during October 2006 at a venue closest to you. Candidates not contacted for an interview by end October 2006 were not successful. • NSDS Equity targets will apply. The BANKSETA welcomes applications by learners with disabilities. • The applicant must be able to attend formal training blocks in: Johannesburg; Pretoria; Vereeniging; Potchefstroom; Bloemfontein; Durban; Pietermaritzburg; Kimberley; Upington; Port Elizabeth; East London; Cape Town; Southern Cape (Garden Route); Nelspruit; Polokwane and will be responsible for their own transport and accommodation costs.
