  2. Hunting in Bulgaria has a rich history and traditions in harmony with modern hunting. Hunters in Bulgaria have at their disposal dozens of hunting enterprises with a Total area of more than 600 000 ha offering the best hunting opportunitites. Our advantages are indisputable: no doubt the high quality of the big game trophies, cozy hunting lodges, experienced personnel, preserved traditions, and last but not least - unique beautiful landscape!

  3. Hunting trophies The quality of the trophies over the years is the best reference to how a hunting destination is worth visiting. Bulgaria has proved that. Since 1930 Bulgarian trophies have participated in international hunting exhibitions and their high ratings are the most serious proof of Bulgaria’s leading role in hunting.

  4. Bulgaria already has four world records of red deer– 253 CIC points estimated at International Exhibition CheshkeBudiovice in 1976; 256,78 CIC points at Nitra in 1980; 263,28 CIC points at Burno in 1985; and the current unsurpassed for 17 years –273,60 CIC points at Nitra in 1990.

  6. Wild boar national record for 24 years and a world record until 2004 – 158,20 CIC points

Game Stock The beautiful nature of Bulgaria is inhabited by the following game: • red deer – 24 000 species • fallow deer – 7 400 • roe deer – 99 800 • wild boar – 87 000 • mouflon – 4 500 • chamois – 1 800 • capercaillie – 2 900 • hundreds of thousands of pheasants, gray and rock partridges, as well as passages of migratory birds – quail, geese andsnipe.

  8. Organized hunting tourism Revenue in BGN Our country is an attractive destinations for hunting tourism in Europe. In 2013 organized hunting brought to Bulgaria 4 558 hunters, 3 557 in 2012.
