  3. It is a folded book, held together by two strings that can be drawn tight. The strings also reflect her subject, the border between the United States and Mexico.

  4. This folded book by Christine Tarantino folds into a handmade jacket/cover. The toy pistol then locks into a holster on the other side.

  5. Those of you who are using small canvases or thick paper might try this approach, using decorative tape (hobby store) to create bound folds. Artist: Kay Green, The Book of Birds
