Social Media and Didactic Principles • New offers like Skype, E-Learning etc • They allow learning in our own pace, at our own place, then when we have time • Social Media: Facebook, Google+ etc. • They offer a toolbox for collaborative and interconnected learning and new options of sharing wisdom and experience with others. • New technologies and new media platforms • New devices (smartphones, tablets etc.) and platforms (e.g. YouTube) offer new opportunities for self activities and informal learning. Learners are now their own pace-makers, they choose their own topics and their own learning context. E-Learning and Social Media promote many of these didactic principles and open new perspectives!
