Fabrication drawings consist of a list of material parts list identifying the materials that are used to build up the fabrication. The design, drafting, and detailing of various steel structures is called as steel fabrication drawing. Fabrication drawing is used in: Structural Steel Sheet Metal Architectural Steelwork Ballustrading/Handrails Stairs Fabrication drawing is divided into two categories: Single Part Drawing: Depicts information for the metal cutting Assembly Drawing: Contains information for the welder to assemble and weld single parts A steel designer works in the same field and has the knowledge of structural engineering that is used to design steel structures.
