Legislative and Regulatory Framework A Nuclear and Radiological Safety and Security had been adopted and published; A new unique and independent Regulatory Body (AgenceMarocaine de Sûreté et de SécuritéNucléaires et Radiologiques) had been created; It’s foreseen that CNESTEN will play a role as TSO.
Cooperation Projects • European Commission project : Provision of assistance related to the first cooperation steps for developing and strengtheningthe capabilities of Moroccan Nuclear Regulatory Authority and its TSO. • IAEA Regional Training Centre : IAEA Post Graduate Educational Course in Radiation Protection and the Safety of Radiation Sources (PGEC).
Future Needs in the present Training and Tutoring Catalogue: Mid-term TSO
Future Needs NOT in the present Training Catalogue Safety of Research Reactors; Radiological consequence modelling and analysis; NORM; Computer Security.
Conclusion The involvement of national participants in previous training activities contributed in enhancing their technical skills in different nuclear safety and radiation protection areas; The use of the catalogue improved the nomination procedure for participants; The NTP would require an update taking into consideration the new legislative and regulatory framework.
