  1. Staff Updates Regional Technical Forum August 20, 2013

  2. Request for Volunteers • DHP Subcommittee

  3. Upcoming 2014 Work Plan • Final work plan presented in October and RTF recommendation forwarded to the Council for final approval in November • Between now and September, provide staff with suggestions for work plan items in 2014 and beyond • Staff will handle measure sunsets and updates • Need stakeholders to provide input on research needs and information on potential new measures • Staff will collate comments and bring draft work plan to RTF in September

  4. Research/Eval Committee FAQ • Some members confused about involvement in Research/Eval committee • Staff and facilitator set up 3 primary groups: • Core group - Review incoming plans; provide feedback and scoring; attend webinar if need be • Opt-in group - Review incoming plans if interested; provide data if requested; receive updates of subcommittee work.

  5. Scientific Irrigation Scheduling Subcommittee • Met on August 8 • Staff had concluded that there wasn’t sufficient data to support a proven standard protocol • Subcommittee discussed the practicalities of a provisional standard protocol, including a research plan • Staff will develop a proposal and present to subcommittee

  6. Twice the material, twice the lunches! • A lot of UES measure decisions to get through in 2013 • Several items have been taking more than 1 meeting to decide on • Seeing a need for a 2-day meeting, likely in October (15 & 16) • Staff determining workload and readiness of items for October • Will let members know prior to September RTF meeting to make travel arrangements
