Goals (¡Olé!) • Create a UDP Host with complex traffic pattern generator • Test the limits of Motorola wireless communications networks
Project Description • Design a Windows 2000 application with a graphical user interface • Visual J++ versus Visual Basic • Swing/AWT • ActiveX • COM/DCOM • Send and receive UDP packets • Generate statistical reports
Features • Implement at least three features • Multicast / broadcast • Message spiking • Random message arrival • Predetermined message sizes

Project Plan • Developed the initial high-level use cases • Currently testing between VB and J++ • Requirements document with system functions and attributes • Further development of use cases and analysis of system behavior • Build a conceptual model
Possible New Features • Allow destination IP address in the data of the initial UDP packet • UDP master to control daemons on multiple computer hosts
