ASHRAE Scholarship Program

The ASHRAE Scholarship Program aims to motivate students worldwide to pursue a career in the HVAC&R field by offering scholarships ranging from $3,000 to $10,000. Scholarships are awarded based on criteria such as GPA, letters of recommendation, financial need, commitment to the profession, work ethics, and leadership abilities. Full-time students enrolled in accredited programs or schools with recognized ASHRAE student branches are eligible. Join us in building the future of the building industry!

  3. Mission To motivate students and prospective students worldwide to pursue an engineering or technology career in the HVAC&R field by offering scholarships to provide financial support for their education and training

  4. Opportunities for Undergraduate Students Scholarships ranging from $3,000 to $10,000 • 13 Engineering Scholarships • Four ASHRAE Regional/Chapter Scholarships • Three University-specific Scholarships • Four Engineering Technology Scholarships • Four High School Senior Scholarships

  5. Basic Criteria on Which All Scholarships Are Awarded • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, where 4.0 is highest • Letters of recommendation • Financial Need • Potential service/commitment to the HVAC&R profession • Work Ethics (summer or part-time jobs, etc.) • Leadership ability (activities, leadership roles, community service, etc)

  6. Additional Criteria Must be a full-time student enrolled in a program accredited by one of the following • ABET: Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology • PAHRA: Partnership for Air Conditioning, Heating, Refrigeration Accreditation • An accrediting agency outside the USA that is part of the Washington or Sydney Accord or has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with ABET OR • The school hosts a recognized ASHRAE student branch
