FINDINGS Our starting point: Observations and vox pop • Enforced socialisation • Usual practice • Almost involuntary pattern of behaviour • They are only aware of other people if/when a breakdown in the flow occur • Herd mentality • Most people stand • ”Mental break” • Escalator etiquette; almost everybody know the rule exists but can’t necessary quite them

  5. # 02 IDEA Entertainment • Escalator users –not doing anything else • Interaction opportunity with other users • Having a ”break” • Motion utilisation

  6. # 03 IDEA “Adventure” • ”Mental break” (unconscious) • Create a common environment of adventure • Grouping –utilisation of the domino effect–flows • Utilisation of theinvoluntary pattern of behaviour
