Update:Actually a new curriculum map will soon be available through the state ICPalms website for teachers which I wrote as the county’s prototype for the state.
Additionally Students in advanced science will be required to complete a science research paper. This will be an important part of their 1st and 2nd quarter grades.
Science Research Paper The research paper will be completed in segments according to a timeline posted on the research webpage. This page also contains helpful guidelines to use throughout the process. BE SURE TO SIGN AND RETURN ACKNOWLEDGEMENT SLIP.
The problem statement isdue September 9. Students submitted 5 project ideas in which they could conduct an experiment. One will be chosen. See the Research Paper webpage for helpful assistance throughout this process.
The background research must include TEN (10) different sources using either 3”x5” index cards for note taking or highlighted information on the sources printed out. This bibliography must be properly formatted.
The final paper is due: December 2,2014
Please be sure to visit my Research Paper website page for power point presentations, and for oodles of helpful tipsand guidelines for each ‘chunk’ of the research process.
