Communicationskills: • An opportunityforthedevelopmentofcommunicationskillsisanimportantPEO experience requirement.Itappliestoallareasof the workenvironment,including communication with supervisors, co-workers, clients, government regulators, and the general public. For your experience in this area to be acceptable, you need to have regularopportunitiestobeinvolvedin: • Preparingwrittenwork,includingday-to-daycorrespondence,designbriefs,and takingpartinpreparingmajorreports. • Making oral reports or presentations to workmates, supervisors, senior management, clients,orregulatoryauthorities. • Makingpresentationsto thegeneralpublicwhensuchopportunitiescomeup. • Socialimplicationsofengineering: • The social implications of engineering are an important engineering practice aspect. A professional engineeringworkenvironmentcanheightenyour awareness ofany negative and positive social implications of an engineering activity you take up.
