  12. WGISS Participation ? (1/7) • CB-09-05e_1: Data Democracy • Contents: Strengthen the Earth observation data utilization cycle by transferring the technologies to end users in developing countries (Capacity Development) • Lead : INPE/CEOS • Participants : CSIR, GISTDA, CDTI, Eumetsat, WGISS, WG-Edu, LSI • Deliverables & Milestones (from CEO table) • June, 2010: Data Democracy training Workshop: To transfer technologies about application of EO information for climate change to user community in working level in South East ASIA • October, 2010: Training activity involving the GEOSS Common Infrastructure (GCI) and registry of components WGISS does not directly support this task. However the WGISS members' agency will support experts to give lectures at the training in Thailand this June. => Proposal : to request CEO to remove WGISS from participants WGISS-29@Bonn, Germany

  18. WGISS Participation ? (7/7) • DA-09-01a_13: GEOSS Quality Assurance Strategy • The Quality Assurance Framework for Earth Observation (QA4EO) will be implemented for GEOSS. QA4EO was initially conceptualised for the space community and this will now be expanded to ensure QA4EO’s application to all EO disciplines within all SBA communities. The broadening of the scope for QA4EO necessitates a more generic approach and a wider remit to its applicability. A wider focusing task team with representation from all SBA communities will work towards an appropriate implementation and action plan to achieve a solid QA4EO approach for all members to GEOSS. • Lead : ESA, USGS • Participants: CEOS Agencies, VCs, WGs • Deliverables and Milestones • Jul 10: Redefine the task team, Formulate an implementation plan, Formulate an action plan • Sep 10: Organise a community workshop WGISS-WGCV joint project, to be discussed at WGISS-30 WGISS-29@Bonn, Germany
