Context: 2009 Macro-economic situation: - expected GDP decrease: 12-14% - IMF and EC requirements: 5% budget deficit - 40% budget cuts required Political developments: - Minister of Culture resigns on 13 January - Prime Minister resigns on 20 February - new government on 12 March - municipality and European Parliament elections on June 6
