Government • Brazil has a Presidential Federal Republic. • A Federal Republic is a federation of states with a republican form of government. • The president of Brazil is Luis Ignacio Lula de Silva.
Location • Brazil is situated on the East- Central Coast of the continent. • Brazil is the largest country in South America and the fourth-largest in the world in coterminous area. • Brazil occupies nearly half of the South American continent, it covers an area of 8,511,965 sq km.
Capital & Main Cities • Brasilia is the capital of Brazil. • Brazil’s main cities are : • Sao Pablo • Rio de Janeiro • Belo Horizonte
Climate • The climate of Brazil varies considerably. • Brazil has 6 climate regions: equatorial, tropical semiarid and highlands. • There is little seasonal variation near the equator, although times it get a little bit cool.
Population, Area & Currency • The population is about 191.241.714. • The Currency is of 1 real= 100 cents. • The Area is of/8.514.877 km2.
Language & Religion • The main language of Brazil is Portuguese but there are other languages like : Nheegatu this language is mainly spoken in Sao Pablo. • They have different religions some of those religions are: • Roman Catholic 74%. • Protestant 15.4%.
Rio de Janeiro • Christ the Reemeder: Is a statue of Jesus Christ in Rio de Janeiro, considered the Largest art deco in the world. • Maracana Stadium: Is an open-Air stadium. It is mainly for football Matches . It had also hosted a lot of Concerts and other sporting events.
Rio de Janeiro • Tijuca Forest: Is a mountainous hand Planted rainforest. Is the World largest urban forest. • Sugar Loaf: Visitors can watch rock climbers on sugar loaf.
Sao Pablo • Botanic Garden: The Botanic Garden with 1500 exhibits illustrating the Development of the plant world and new orchid garden.
