  1. MoU Preparation Timetable Christoph Eck IT Department CERN Phase 2 Planning Meeting September 2, 2005

  2. Known Dates • RRB papers have to be on the web by September 23 • We better stick to this date, as we want to get the approval of the C-RRB to send the MoU round for signature. • Any delay may lead to arguing about insufficient time to study the document. • This means that on Monday, September 12, we will stop changing MoU tables. • So, if you want your numbers in the MoU in October and haven’t given them yet, you have to make haste!

  3. No Italics • The MoU given to the October C-RRB will only contain text and tables, which are ready to be signed by the concerned Funding Agencies. • All entries, which are still in Italics will be removed. • We plan to create a separate document listing centres, which plan to come on board later. • Please check carefully, if your resources are erroneously labelled as ripe for signature (or the other way round)!

  4. We Need More Resources! • Is an overall pledge of half the required resources enough for starting the signature process? • Some Funding Agencies may be tempted to argue, that they will not sign as long as they don’t see FA xyz signing also. • Some centres will not be ready to sign in October for complicated legal reasons. • But they may still give us their most likely capacity numbers for the separate document of future signatories.
