Fit For Life by MedeeaPlesea 5GC Year 5 have been learning about how to keep fit for life. We are going to run the marathon over a few days and it is about 26 miles. We had a sheet to fill about what we had for lunch to see how healthy we are. Every Tuesday we go outside in the playground and run a few laps around the edge of the whole playground. We always take our pulse before our run, after our run and when we do our streching. To keep fit your whole life is to go to the gym at least 1 hour a week and eat healthy food and not a lot of sugar. Fit For Life means being physical, mental and social. Social means hanging out with your friends. Mental means waking your brain up and getting to work. Physical means being busy and not just having fun.
Healthy food Eating healthy food is important. To live you have to eat healthy food and not a lot of junk food. Some sweets make you fat and some just make you slim. Food is to keep yourself healthy. If you have a head ache or a tummy ache you can eat food and you will feel better and then you do not need to worry.
Different kinds of sports There are lots of different types of sports but there are two special sports and they are swimming and running. Swimming is as important as maths but if you don’t know how to swim you might not be able to save yourself from water. Running keeps you fit and healthy and as it was said on the first page you should go to the gym about one hour. Sometimes you can run around a park so you can get fit.
