Emergency Medical Services Hospital Administration Medical Director ER Staff Emergency Management Board Of Supervisor’s Public Health Fire Law Enforcement EMS Training Programs Lifenet Helicopter Dispatch Adjacent departments providing service to Shelby County Citizens Stakeholders Include Membership is inclusive of all stakeholders in the county Shelby County Emergency Services Assoc.

  4. The current plan provides funds to a community once every 17 years for a vehicle The original amount of contribution was based on an estimated 50% of the cost of a new vehicle In 1998 that was approx $53,000 Shelby County Emergency Services Assoc.

  5. Today a new ambulance costs upwards of $138,000 Shelby County Emergency Services Assoc.

  6. The Current Funding Plan is Not Working The Township Funding is Not Equitable Several Departments Simply Pay the $400 From Their Overall Revenue Sources Shelby County Emergency Services Assoc.

  7. Training costs and time committed by volunteers to EMS should be spent on Training, Education, and Responding, NOT baking pies to replace equipment. Shelby County Emergency Services Assoc.

  8. Proposal 2007 • This funding would replace the annual funding from the Commission, and the Township Trustees • It will provide $63,000 per year for volunteer EMS vehicle replacement • It will provide $5,971 per year for Training and Equipment Shelby County Emergency Services Assoc.

  9. Proposal 2007 • Shelby County ESA would propose that the hospital levy $.15 per $1,000 which would provide approx $68,971 per year • This would provide a stable and dependable funding source in support of the volunteer EMS providers of Shelby County • On a $100,000 house this would mean $5.87 of additional taxes per year Shelby County Emergency Services Assoc.
