  2. Al Hujjah Retreat 2008 Conditioning the Soul-Preparing for the Imam of our Time Camp Tanda Big Bear Lake, Ca 04/25/08 – 04/27/08

Purpose of the Retreat • To foster bonds of unity amongst the youth in our region • To promote reflection, contemplation, and spirituality • To provide direct leadership skills • in order to initiate positive change within the respective communities • Dialogue • Discussions • Interactive workshops and activities. 

  4. Objectives 1) Promoting reflection, contemplation, spirituality and a sense of Muslim Identity • Provide innovative content related Islamic activism and faith—in particular relating to Imam Mahdi (ajtf) • Enhancing discipline and holistic understanding of self-sacrifice

Objectives (cont) 2) Establishing a sense of Unity • Strengthening the bonds of Brotherhood and Sisterhood • Bridging the gaps between youth in different communities/area by dispelling the misconceptions/stereotypes people may have • Closing the gap of ethnic segregation in our communities • Building the bond between the individual and nature

  6. Objectives (cont.) 3) Provide direct leadership skills to initiate change within the community • Provide potential tools to potential leaders to battle the challenges present in our community • Effective communication skills with peers, community members, and community leaders, etc.
