PURPOSE OF THE PROGRAM • To provide services to Low Performing Schools • Schools not making Average Yearly Progress (AYP) • Children who are in Title One Schools • Reading & Mathematics • 2 hrs per day – 2 days per week • Monday – Saturday • 1:3, 1:5, & 1:8 ratios 7. Special Needs IEP & 504
Site/Location • 1. Conducive to learning • 2. Safe and Orderly • 3. Free of any noticeable hazards • 4. Clean, organized and well lit • 5. Temperature controlled (Meeting OSHA Standards • 6. Facility must have Exit signs posted • 7. Facility must have an inspection clearance on file • 8. Facility must have a visible occupancy notice

INSTRUCTIONAL PROGRAM AND STRATEGIES • 1. Teach from the goals and objectives listed on the student’s plan (2 Math & 2 Reading). • 2. Locate the instructional materials in the text provided and teach the materials. • 3. Provide an activity for the student that supports the objective. • 4. Allow the students to summarize (orally) the materials taught. • 5. Jot down notes in order to effectively write the Progress Reports.
Monitoring & Evaluating Student Achievement • 1. Pre-test must be graded and turned in. Keep note of the grades and accomplishments of your students. • 2. Make sure that you jot down notes regarding the progress made by your students daily. • 3. Develop a checklist of goals and objectives on student’s plans.

Sufficient information 1. Tell us what was taught… 2. Tell us what materials/resources used… 3. Tell us what was accomplished… c. Check progress report for grammatical errors
