Committee ReportsMembership • Our Membership saw a significant increase during the 2012-13 operating year. • It’s now the season to begin collecting membership dues. • http://www.hbcualumnicle.com/membership.html • Avoid the late fee and pay by October 31, 2013 • Alumni Chapter webpages will be blocked/deleted if dues have not be satisfied in a timely fashion Membership 2012-13 60 members Membership 2013-14 Goal 70 members

Committee ReportsMembership • Recommend Council approval for Courtesy Honorary/Sponsor Membership to: • United Negro College Fund – Renewal • Urban League of Greater Cleveland – New • Rationale – The UL host an annual HBCU College Tour that supports our overall goals of student recruitment. Though this relationship, we are able to work with their parents and students to with the trip, mentor students and become a valuable resource to their group. In return, the UL will provide workshops at our college fair, their database for future development, and greater access of the council’s brand.

  12. New BusinessSpecial Committee • Based on the constitution: Article VII – Committees • The President shall appoint committee chairpersons. The President shall have the authority to create and abolish all special committees based on the needs of the Council. • Special Committee – Mentorship. The purpose of the Mentorship Committee is to advise and counsel interested students about the HBCU experience, build relationships and partnerships for optimal success, and to inspire the next generation of leaders as they matriculate through a HBCU. • Identify a Committee Chair • Current Tasks – follow-up and/or facilitate matters with: • CMSD Scholarship Recipients • CMSD Linkage Program • College Now Scholarship Recipients
