  2. Adversary • Noun • Definition • An opponent or enemy The Steelers and the Ravens are adversaries when their fans show hatred to one another.

  3. Aplomb • Noun • Self Confident In a difficult situation President Obama had such aplomb when I asked him about an extremely stressful situation he went through when he was young.

  4. Apprehensive • Adj. • Anxious or fearful; uneasy • When I am giving a speech I can’t recite the words on my paper in an apprehensive way, that would make the people think that I am a little uneasy about what I am saying.

  5. Fragrance • Noun • A sweet or pleasant odor The room’s fragrance was scented like fresh picked cherries just waiting to be eaten; it smelled like heaven.

  6. Furtive • Adj. • Sneaky; acting in a way so as not to be noticed. Tom Cruise was furtive when he slid past four guards; he accomplished it like a ghost.
