  2. Reason for Founding • This place was founded so that we Quakers could be safe • We are a different religion, we have no ministers or priests • We do not fight in wars • We also treat American Indians with respect • We live in peace with the colonists • We do not believe in violence

  3. Geography In Pennsylvania there are rivers, forests, and the Delaware river valley, which is full of rich soil. Also there are a lot of minerals, such as coal, iron, and copper. Which gave another job, mining.

  4. Economy • Pennsylvania has a good and strong economy • You can be a farmers and raise dairy cattle, you can also grow wheat and vegetables. • There were also jobs like miner, lumberman, or a merchant • If you are a farmer or merchant you may become rich

  5. Government • The king approved Penn’s appointment of the colony’s governor. A general assembly got together to approve or reject laws created by the council. All men who owned land could vote for members of the assembly
