What William Penn wanted the land for. • His goal was to create a colony free of religion. • Due to the fact that him and his fellow Quakers were persecuted due to there religious beliefs. • He created Pennsylvania so his fellow Quakers and other religions could be free.
Significant Events • Pennsylvania was well advertised, and by 1700 was the third biggest and richest colony in the New World. • Penn allowed for a representative assembly elected by landowners. • Full freedom of worship and religion.
