Our Role • Build capacity of municipal officials and staff, political leaders, community decision makers • information exchange through city network • training and tools for policy evaluation • Promote multi-stakeholder decision making • Advocate Local Governments’ perspective at international for a (i.e., the WSSD and COP) • Assist cities gain recognition for taking action

Advice / Support • Advice • latch onto existing networks • run joint projects to bring cities together • determine if you want to be inclusive (i.e., SALGA) or exclusive (i.e., SA Cities Network) • use organizations already involved in Africa • Support • can co-present outputs of workshop in Cameroon • can serve as Secretariat for AECN if so requested
