  3. Life Before PBIS… • Chlorine Bombs • Bomb Threats • Multiple Evacuations • 4000+ referrals/year • 56 Expulsions/year • 45% Expulsions were ninth grade

  4. ATTEMPT #1 Principal Says “we will do this”. Staff Says “Hmmm, don’t think so”. ATTEMPT #2 Teacher presents information about PBIS and explains the benefits Staff asked to experiment 1st semester and give feedback Whole school kick-off second semester Buy-In is Critical!

  17. How Are We Going into Year Five? • We were told that the greatest challenge is with high schools. • We are focusing on our faculty as well as our students. • We are continuing to get faculty members to buy-in to the PBIS approach. • Our focus/theme is FAMILY, COMMITMENT and RENEWAL.
